Thermo Scientific™ RapID™ System is an easy-to-use and fast microbe identification system for over microorganisms.

Since it uses enzyme technology, it reduces the time-to-result to just 4 hours. As opposed to Thermo Scientific™ RapID™ System, traditional microbe identification systems produce results after 24 hours. This is due to the use of carbohydrate fermentation reactions which depend on the growth of microorganisms.

How to use Thermo Scientific™ RapID™ System?

INOCULUM

Prepare inoculum from agar plate.

PREPARATION

Transfer the inoculation fluid to the biochemical well in Thermo Scientific™ RapID™ System.

INCUBATION

Incubate the RapID™ System in a incubator for 4 hours at 30-37ºC.
*Note: The incubation time and temperature may vary, depends on the RapID™ System you use.

ADDITION

Add reagent for colour development.
