General Description
Aqueous surfactant-free dispersion of high conductivity grade PEDOT:PSS polymer. Optimal performance in transparent conductive coatings may require addition of formulation ingredients (e.g. surfactants and high-boiling solvents).Conducting polymer such as poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) doped with poly(styrene sulfonate) anions (PEDOT/PSS) is widely used in various organic optoelectronic devices. PEDOT: PSS is a blend of cationic polythiopene derivative, doped with a polyanion. High electrical conductivity and good oxidation resistance of such polymers make it suitable for electromagnetic shielding and noise suppression. Thus, the polymer film was found to possess high transparency throughout the visible light spectrum and even into near IR and near UV regions, virtually 100% absorption from 900-2,000 nm. No absorption maximum from 400-800 nm. Impact of small electric and magnetic fields on the polymer was studied.
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is a conductive polymer without a high boiling solvent (HBS), that is formed by electropolymerizing 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene in a solution of poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS). Suspend 27g of Brilliance Salmonella Agar Base in 500ml of distilled water. Add the contents of 1 vial of Salmonella Selective Supplement, resuspended as directed. Mix well and sterilise by bringing to the boil with frequent agitation. Cool to around 50ºC, mix well and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
NOTE: It is critical that the selective supplement is added prior to heating. When preparing volumes greater than 1 litre contact Oxoid Technical Support for directions.
Storage conditions and Shelf life
Salmonella Selective Supplement should be stored in the dark at 2-8ºC. When stored as directed, the un-opened products will remain stable until the expiry date printed on the packaging.

General Description
Granular lithium is a form of lithium metal that has been ground into small granules. Lithium is a soft, silver-white metal that is highly reactive and flammable. Lithium has a low density of 0.534 g/cm3, which makes it one of the lightest metals. Like the other alkali metals, lithium has a low melting point (180 °C) and is a good conductor of electricity and heat. Granular lithium is highly reactive and behaves as a strong reducing agent. It must be handled with caution due to its potential to ignite or explode. Lithium reacts readily with water and oxygen to form lithium hydroxide and lithium oxide, respectively, and even reacts with nitrogen gas at room temperature, forming lithium nitride. Typically, lithium is stored in an argon glovebox and airtight containers to prevent exposure to moisture, air, and nitrogen. To make granular lithium, the metal is first extracted from ores such as spodumene or lepidolite using a process called lithium carbonate conversion. After the lithium has been purified to a high degree of purity, it is milled into granules by rotating blades.
Lithium is a low-density alkali metal that is widely used as an anode material in rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. It is also used to alloy with aluminum and magnesium to make them stronger and lighter.
