Add 40 g to 1 litre of distilled water. Bring to the boil to dissolve completely. Sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
For blood agar, cool the base to 50°C and add 7% of Defibrinated Horse Blood SR0050. Mix with gentle rotation and pour into Petri dishes (12 ml for a 9 cm dish) or other containers.
RECONSTITUTION AND MIXING SHOULD BE PERFORMED IN A FLASK AT LEAST 2.5 TIMES THE VOLUME OF MEDIUM TO ENSURE ADEQUATE AERATION OF THE BLOOD.

The ONE Broth-Salmonella Selective Supplement should be stored in the dark at 2-8ºC. When stored as directed, the unopened products will remain stable until the expiry date printed on the packaging.
Once prepared, ONE Broth-Salmonella can be stored for up to 2 weeks when made from CM1091 and SR0242 according to the manufacturer’s instructions and stored at 2-8ºC, in the dark. Suspend 16g in 1 litre of distilled water. Bring to the boil to dissolve completely and dispense into screw-capped 7ml bottles. Fill each bottle to the brim, tighten the cap and sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. When sufficiently cool to handle, mix by inversion.

Precautions
A small amount of blue colour at the top of the bottle indicates oxidation. If this colour extends down into the medium it should be discarded.

Sodium glycerophosphate may be metabolised by some organisms and thus promote their growth.

General Description
Our titanium(IV) oxide nanopowder is a fine white powder composed of titanium dioxide nanoparticles with an average particle size of 21 nm, resulting in a high surface area of 35-65 m2/g. Two main physico-chemically distinct polymorphs of TiO2 are anatase and rutile. Anatase has a higher photocatalytic activity than rutile but is thermodynamically less stable.
Application
TiO2 nanoparticles were used to study the photocatalytic hexane vapor degradation. It has been used as a sorbent for arsenic removal. TiO2 nanoparticles are suitable for remediation of antiseptic components in wastewater by photocatalysis. It has also been used to study adsorption of DNA oligonucleotides by titanium dioxide nanoparticles.
