Tinsdale Agar, Oxoid Preparation:
Suspend 9g of agar base in 200ml of distilled water. Bring to the boil and dissolve completely. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Allow to cool to approximately 50°C and add the contents of one vial of Oxoid Tinsdale Supplement SR0065 reconstiuted as directed. Mix throughly and pour into sterile Petri dishes.

Store the dehydrated medium at 10-30°C and use before the expiry date on the label.
Store the prepared medium at 2-8°C for not more than 4 days.
Precautions
Further tests must be carried out on colonies suspected as Corynebacterium diphtheriae, including cell morphology after sub-culture to Loeffler’s Medium and examination for toxin production.
Do not incubate Tinsdale’s Agar plates in enhanced CO2 atmosphere (5-10% v/v).

Mix thoroughly and pour into sterile Petri dishes. The pH of this medium should be 7.0±0.2 @ 25°C.

Precautions
The medium is best used freshly prepared.
Stock cultures of Shigella species may become predominantly in the R-phase when subcultured away from DCA media. Such cultures are difficult to use for control purposes without first heavily streaking the cultures on DCA plates and picking off the few S-phase colonies i.e. the macro-colonies on the agar surface, for further subculture.
When making biochemical tests on colonies picked from the surface of DCA plates, purity subcultures should be carried out because the colony may be contaminated with Escherichia coli present as micro-colonies.

General Description
Lithium niobate coated NMC622 is a powdered form of lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide with a stoichiometry of 6:2:2 Ni:Mn:Co and a typical particle size of 4-10 microns. The particles are coated in 5-10 nm amorphous lithium niobate, less than 1 wt.%.
Applications
LiNbO3-coated NMC622 is a high-performance cathode active material specially designed for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), particularly solid-state and high-voltage batteries. With a balance of 60% nickel for high capacity and 40% manganese and cobalt for structural stability, NMC622 surpasses NMC811 in terms of cycling lifetime and coulombic efficiencies and offers higher capacity than NMC532. The LiNbO3 coating plays a vital role in enhancing the stability of the cathode material by safeguarding the electrode and electrolyte from undesired reactions. Research suggests that this lithium-niobate coating mitigates reactions between the cathode material and electrolyte, reducing capacity fade over time and impeding the release of metal ions from the NMC cathode. Additionally, the LiNbO3 “insertion layer” improves rate capability by minimizing the space charge layer barrier at the electrolyte/cathode interface. This advancement translates to superior Li diffusion and reduced electrode polarization.

SeaKem® LE Agarose was the first and is still the world’s most trusted agarose for nucleic acid electrophoresis. Ideal for routine analysis of nucleic acids by gel electrophoresis and blotting, each SeaKem® LE Gel sharply resolves DNA and provides consistent resolution from lot-to-lot. This molecular biology grade agarose has no detectable DNase or RNase activity and forms strong gels with low background upon ethidium bromide, SYBR® Green, or GelStarTM Staining. Due to its low EEO, DNA will have a high electrophoretic mobility. SeaKem® LE Agarose is also recommended for protein gel electrophoresis in applications such as Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion (RID).
