Achieve maximum recovery of microorganisms during dilution with this protective, isotonic Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Maximum Recovery Diluent (Dehydrated).
Maximum Recovery Diluent combines the protective effect of peptone in the diluting solution1 with the osmotic support of physiological saline. The low peptone concentration in the diluent reduces organism multiplication in the sample for at least 45 minutes during the dilution stage.

Maximum Recovery Diluent, Oxoid Preparation:
Dissolve 9.5g in 1 litre of distilled water. Dispense into the final containers and sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
Storage conditions and Shelf life
Store the dehydrated medium at 10-30°C and use before the expiry date on the label.
Store the prepared medium at room temperature.

Store the dehydrated medium below 25°C and use before the expiry date on the label.
Store the prepared medium at 2-8°C.

MetaPhorTM Agarose, Lonza is a high resolution agarose that challenges polyacrylamide. MetaPhorTM Agarose is an intermediate melting temperature (75°C) agarose with twice the resolution capabilities of the finest-sieving agarose products. For example, a 200 bp DNA fragment can be separated from a 204 bp fragment. Using fast running protocols DNA differing in size by 1% can be resolved in as little as 1.5 hours in a 20 cm long horizontal or vertical gel format. MetaPhorTM Agarose gels (2% to 4%) approximate the resolution of polyacrylamide gels (4% to 8%). These agarose gels are ideal for resolving AMPFLPs, STRs, and tri- and tetranucleotide repeats.
