SeaKem® LE Agarose

SeaKem® LE Agarose was the first and is still the world’s most trusted agarose for nucleic acid electrophoresis. Ideal for routine analysis of nucleic acids by gel electrophoresis and blotting, each SeaKem® LE Gel sharply resolves DNA and provides consistent resolution from lot-to-lot. This molecular biology grade agarose has no detectable DNase or RNase activity and forms strong gels with low background upon ethidium bromide, SYBR® Green, or GelStarTM Staining. Due to its low EEO, DNA will have a high electrophoretic mobility. SeaKem® LE Agarose is also recommended for protein gel electrophoresis in applications such as Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion (RID).

Shrimp Alkaline Phosphatase (rSAP)

ssRNA Ladder – 25 gel lanes

The ssRNA Ladder is a set of 7 RNA molecules produced by in vitro transcription of a mixture of 7 linear DNA templates. The ladder sizes are: 9000, 7000, 5000, 3000, 2000, 1000 and 500 bases. The 3000 base fragment is at double intensity to serve as a reference band. This ladder is suitable for use as an ssRNA size standard on denaturing or native agarose gels.

Supercoiled DNA Ladder – 100 gel lanes

T4 DNA Ligase, NEB

Characteristics of T4 DNA Ligase, NEB:

  • Catalyzes the formation of a phosphodiester bond between juxtaposed 5′ phosphate and 3′ hydroxyl termini in duplex DNA or RNA.
  • This enzyme will join blunt end and cohesive end termini as well as repair single-stranded nicks in duplex DNA and some DNA/RNA hybrids (1).
  • T4 DNA ligase will seal nicks for these DNA substrates.

TE Buffer

‘TE is deriving from ‘Tris’, a common pH buffer and ‘EDTA’, a cation chelators like Mg2+. TE buffer is normally used in molecular biology to solubilize DNA, RNA or cDNA while protecting it from degradation, or used in the cell culture. Here, we provide TE buffer in 10x or 100x with pH ranging from 7.4 to 8.

Thermostable RNase H, NEB

Thermostable RNase H from NEB specifically recognizes and cleaves the phosphodiester bonds of an RNA strand in an RNA-DNA hybrid while leaving the DNA strand intact. This thermostable nuclease exhibits the same enzymatic properties as E. coli RNase H, but is active at much higher temperatures.
